As Jets.com cofounder, Edgar Alacan directs a company that organizes a full range of airplane charter services to business and leisure travelers. Among the proprietary offerings of Edgar Alacan’s companies is the safety system Assure, which helps ensure that the highest possible standards of excellence for both pilots and aircraft are maintained.

The Assure Safety-First Mission process begins with fielding a fleet that is fully Wyvrn registered and ARGUS certified. Unbiased and independent, ARGUS maintains a charter broker ratings program that provides assurances that best practices and industry requirements are met. The Wyvern Wingman Standard is attained only by those select operators who have passed an in-depth auditing process.

The Assure program also ensures that Federal Aviation Administration standards for pilots and aircraft are not only met, but surpassed. These include FAR 91, which sets out minimum acceptable operational levels, as well as the more stringent mandates covered under FAR 135 regulations. Among the areas in which FAR 135 sets out stronger regulations are drug and alcohol testing, flight crew time and rest, and runway length requirements.
